Hourora world time-zone map data (tzmap.json), release 2026e

Contains information from timezone-boundary-builder (Evan Siroky), release 2026e, which is made available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL) 1.0. The boundaries derive from OpenStreetMap: © OpenStreetMap contributors. This file is a simplified Derivative Database and is shared under the same licence.

Alterations made to the source database: all boundaries were simplified together (mapshaper@0.6.109, Visvalingam 3.5% with keep-shapes,
shared borders kept shared), coordinates were quantised to a grid of 20000 steps (about 0.018 degrees), and the zones were re-encoded as
shared arcs with one label point per zone. Method: scripts/build-tzmap.mjs in the Hourora repository. This file (tzmap.json) is the complete
Derivative Database in machine-readable form, free to download. Hourora's own text, code and design are not part of the database.
