How it works
How dates are counted
The calculator works on calendar dates, not on clock time, so a daylight-saving change never makes a day 23 or 25 hours long here. “Days between” counts midnights from the start to the end date; tick “include the end date” to count both days, as when you count the days of a holiday.
Adding months keeps the day of the month where possible: 31 January plus one month is 28 February (29 in a leap year). Ages and durations in years, months and days are counted the same way, the way people usually count birthdays.

How do I count the days between two dates?
Choose the two dates under “Days between”. The result is the number of days from the first to the second; tick “include the end date” to count both the first and last day.
How are weekdays counted?
Every day that is not part of the weekend you choose counts: Saturday and Sunday in most countries, Friday and Saturday in much of the Middle East. Public holidays are not taken off.
What is an ISO week number?
ISO 8601 numbers weeks from Monday to Sunday; week 1 is the week with the year’s first Thursday. The “Day of the week” tab shows it for any date.
