How Hourora keeps time
IANA tzdata 2026e
Every offset, abbreviation and daylight-saving change comes from the IANA Time Zone Database, release 2026e, the same source phones and servers use.
Our own copy
Browsers often carry older rules. Hourora ships the current release itself, so recent changes (Morocco’s permanent UTC+0, Canada’s new permanent time zones) are already right.
A server-checked clock
Device clocks drift. Hourora measures yours against its server several times, shows the offset with its margin of error, and corrects what you see.
